Traffic Gastropub - CC2

With the COVID-19 induced lockdowns in place, it has been a long long time since I last went out to have some fun. So, when I came to know that my friends were coming back to my hometown, I was elated especially with the fact that finally we all would get together and make some memories. So, armed with the two most powerful weapns - Social Distancing and a P-95 mask, we decided to visit this place called Traffic Gastropub which is located in City Centre 2 in Kolkata.

Before deciding on this place, we had ofcourse done our backend research. We had checked out all the difference ambience and food photographs in Zomato and had read reviews on how economical this place. But I must say, those pictures and reviews dont do sufficient justice to this place. This place needs an in-person visit to realize how amazing the vibes are and the decor is really something extra-ordinarily magnificient.

We got ourselves a corner table and with no-one else around us, it was time to put down our masks and order some good food and alcohol. The drinks menu at this place was really amazing. We had some amaing range of choices to choose from. We went ahead with a "Tumse naa ho paayega", "Traffic Photograph" and a "Murbasa". The presentation was absolutely breath-taking and so was the alchol content!

The drinks were presented in an absolutely breath-taking manner. While they did'nt compromise on the quantity, some of the choices were definitely on the steeper side in terms of price. Nonetheless definitely worth checking out once. The second one had us breathlessly surprised. The entire drink came in a lantern like jar and it was the first time I saw something like this being presented. In addition to the drinks, we also ordered a kebab platter and that was really well done in terms of quality of food. Also, another thing which stood out from their offering was the american corn which was a really good side dish which we enjoyed to the fullest.

Overall the place was really nice, and the service was extremely fast and friendly. I would recommend anyone near to CC2 to definitely check this place out once. If not for the food and drinks then definitely for it's ambience as well as for its instagramable locations.

Please note that at the time of writing this post, COVID-19 cases have again started rising in India and we would advise everyone to take the utmost precaution and step out of home only for essential reasons. Keep yourselves safe and let's break the chain!
